Who is she?
Robyn Rhianna Fenty, or better known as Rhianna is a Barbadian singer, songwriter, actress, businesswomen, and philanthropist. She was born on February 20th, 1988 in Saint Michael, Barbados to parents Monica Braithwaite and Ronald Fenty, and the eldest of three children. Growing up, her childhood was difficult because of her fathers drug addiction, leading to a divorce when she was 14.
Early Life
When she was 15, she started a girl group with two friends, and Evan Rodgers (a music producer) was amused when he heard Rhianna. When she turned 16, she moved to the United states with her father and his wife in Connecticut.
Her talent was quickly recognized and led her to being the successful celebrity she is today. At age 16, she released her first album “Music of the Sun’, selling over two million copies. Some of her successful songs include “”Umbrella,” “Unfaithful,” “Disturbia,” “Take a Bow,” “Diamonds” and “We Found Love”, and much more.
In January of 2005, Evan Rogers got her an audition for Def Jam Records and Jay z. Though she was quite nervous, she did an outstanding job and signed her on the spot.
Fashion
Not only does she sing act but she is also a style icon in the fashion world (she also has her own clothing line as well). In 2014, she wore a dress at the Council of Fashion Designers of America awards ceremony, causing so much attention.
During the met galas yearly, you will also find her wearing something that is headline worthy. In 2017, she appeared in Bates Move, and Valerian and the City Of a Thousand Planets. In 2018, she acted in Ocean 8. Later co-staring in Guava Island.
In the year of 2012, she launched foundation that funds education. She named it Clara Lionel Foundation after her grandmother.
Love life
She had been friends with Chris Brown since 2005, but began dating in 2008. One night before an award show, an argument turned into physical violence, when Chris Brown assaulted her. From then on she raised awareness against domestic violence, and is a spokesperson.
A year after, she had romantic relations with rapper Drake, as they had some collaborations before. Though things didn’t work out, they still remain friends. In 2010, she openly dated basketball star Matt Kemp, and were found showing some PDA in public.
In 2013, she was romantically linked with A$AP Rocky as they had been spotted togther quite a few times, and even made the song “Fashion Killa” together. Both denied these rumors.
In 2015, rumors were flying around about her and Leonardo DiCaprio at her 27th Birthday Party, though neither confirmed. Later that year, she and Travis Scott were found together during the New York Fashion Week, just as they starred in a Puma ad. In 2017, she began dating Billionaire Businessman Hassan Jameel and are still reportedly together after 3 years.
Fenty Beauty
In September of 2017, the star launched her Fenty Beauty makeup line, sold both online and Sephora. It is popular for the wide variety of shades, and is inclusive to all skin tones and gender. The entire operation is worth over $17 billion as Rhianna owns 50% of the company.
