Who is he?
Zachary Knight Galifianakis is an American celebrity known for his stand-up shows, television, and film. He was born on October 1st, 1969 in Wilkesboro, North Carolina, U.S. He is of a Greek, English, and Scottish descent.
Before his big break
When Zach was failing his last college class, he decided to move to New York. After the big move, he started performing humor at the back of burger joints, in Times Square. Eventually, he began traveling across the country to perform his skits in local coffee shops and schools.
The big break
The comedian finally got his big recognition after nearly ten years of preforming. He stared in the movie “The Hangover” as “Allen Garner”, with fellow actors Bradley Cooper, Ed Helmes, Ken Jeong, Justin Bartha, etc. The film did so well, it’s now worth $467 million, and was the hit of the year. Thus, leading two other sequels- “The Hangover Part II” (2011), and “The Hangover Part III” (2013). After this, he became a well-known comedian in Hollywood.
Other acts he did
Despite, his big break in the 2009 movie, he also got a huge role in “G-Force”, the same year. This movie was for a younger audience, also doing exceptionally well. Then appearing in movies like “Up in the Air”, “Youth in Revolt”, “Dinner for Schmucks”, “It’s Kind of a Funny Story”, and so on. His show “Between Two Ferns” (2008-), had a movie made after it called “Between Two Ferns: The Movie”. Which was about interviewing famous celebrities, and the adventure of traveling across the country.

Aside from working on his show, and other performances that tear people up, he enjoys spending time with his family, back in his native state. He comes from a very hard-working family, with his mother Mary Frances who owned a community arts center, and his father Harry Galifianakis, a heating oil vendor. Zach also has a brother named Greg, and sister named Merritt. He’s also passionate on dedicating time working on being a writer’s retreat, being in a complete sustained farm.
Marriage & Kids
He married his wife Quinn Lundberg in 2012, who he calls his big inspiration. The couple welcomed their first child, Rufus Emmanuel Lundberg in 2016. They like to keep their family relations private from the public.
